Thoughts: Week 3

This week I had difficulty writing my review because I wasn’t sure how to write the plot without ruining the movie for the readers. As this was one of the comments I received. I wanted to expand what I wrote as I felt it was too short, but I didn’t really know how to. I tried to avoid babbling as this is something else I tend to do, but there’s only so many times and so many ways you can say how much you liked the movie, without it getting too much for the reader. I felt kind of better about the length of my review when I saw the review I compared it to because it was kind of short too, although not as short as mine. Writing the plots of films is something I need to work on.

Thoughts: Week 2

One thing I have been having a little bit of difficulty with is finding reviews to compare mine too. It’s kind of difficult to choose which ones to use and which ones are credible enough. I’m trying to get ones that are published in a magazine or something from a well known source, rather than from other bloggers. As I think these may be more professional? Depending on what everyone’s definition of professional is. Over the mid semester break I watched about 4 movies. This should help me a lot with all the reviews I need to do. I just need to try and remember them. Hopefully I can just do a similar thing to last week and I will remember –as this is one of my weaknesses. And although it was cool to go watch all these movies, it is getting pretty expensive, because not only do you need a ticket to watch a movie –you NEED snacks.

Thoughts: Week 1

I found this pretty interesting to do. I don’t usually get to go to the movies, so having this as an excuse will be pretty cool. I usually have to wait and watch it on DVD, because my friends have already seen it and I don’t have the guts to go by myself yet. Sometimes I don’t even watch it on DVD. I like how if there is any information I forgot, like the characters name; I can find it easily on the internet. Even just looking at a picture or reading a review it all can come back to me. I have a tendency to forget things I saw in the movie (like certain lines etc.), but I always do remember my opinion of it. I like doing these blogs so far…although it has only been one week.
